As a human being, and a woman in business, we are the full circle. If you picture a full circle and imagine all of the emotions, thoughts and personalities that can exist within it, then we have the capacity to be it all. There is no polarity within the full circle, we can be and feel it all.
So often in life and in business, we convince ourselves that we are ‘this’ and that we cannot be ‘that’. Or that we can do ‘this’ and that we cannot do ‘that’. For example: I might say something like "I’m great at implementing strategies but I’m a terrible ideas person”.
But really, this is just a story. I am a woman. I am the full circle. And I am capable of it all.
There are so many ways that we can shift these stories but today, I want to talk about how we can use archetypes and essential oils to support us in being the full circle in our business.
What are archetypes?
In a really simple way, archetypes are common patterns of thought and behaviour.
These archetypes exist in our collective unconscious, which means that we all have them and they are not dependent on age, race, culture, religion or gender.
Certain archetypes might be more prevalent in our own personality but it’s important to understand that we have the capacity to invoke and embody all of the archetypes.
There are lots of ways that we can work with archetypes in our business but one on my favourite ways of working with archetypes is with essential oils.
So what do essential oils have to do with it?
When working with archetypes, you really want to tap into what it feels like to be that archetype. And essential oils are a really quick and beautiful way that we can feel the way that we want to feel. We can also work with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of essential oils to help us tap into archetypes.
For example, Easy Air is an essential oil that supports our respiratory system and so you can use that essential oil to invoke archetypes that relate to those physical body parts. This could be the Story Teller or the Activist who both rely heavily on the power of their throat and voice.
An example of working with the emotional benefits is Peppermint essential oil which helps you to feel energised and optimistic. Understanding these benefits, you could use this essential oil to invoke an archetype with similar emotions (like the Inner Child or the Maiden).
So how do we bring this into our business?
So we know that archetypes allow us to be the full circle in our business and that essential oils can support us with invoking and embodying particular archetypes.
